As much as celebs love a good bikini pic, they also love good lighting, a perfect filter and maybe even a few tweaks here and there via Photoshop. But for Jessie J, she ain’t about that life.
The singer (who is currently dating the Channing Tatum) recently took to Instagram by posting a picture of herself in a bikini, and basically told her 7.7 million followers straight up that she has zero time to spare for anyone who wants to call out the fact she has cellulite.
“Took ages to hairspray my hair like that. My shadow is my mood. Oh and for those telling me I have cellulite. I know. I own a mirror,” the singer captioned the photo.
And ya know what? She looks damn fine, and her followers agree, too.
“This is what we need, women being real and honest and not afraid to show the reality that most of us have cellulite!! And yet we continue to look at filtered pictures of celebrities and believe that they don’t have it. Thank you Jessie for being real and proving that we are all beautiful regardless of a few bumps on our booties,” one follower commented.
Another one wrote: Seriously what cellulite?!? You look amazing!”
It’s not the first time she’s been outspoken about body positivity. In 2016, she posted a picture of herself in a sports bra and high-rise pants talking about her body.
“I could write a deep and meaningful quote to make this less of a ‘pic of my bum’ but that’s all it is. No deep quote. Just a pic of my bum. I have been working on my body recently. When I can be bothered to gain weight and to be stronger, fitter, healthier and to feel good! Accepting my cellulite BUT doing something about it instead of just moaning about it!! A bit of self love and celebrating the body your in is POSITIVE and needed!”
So yes, in the wise old words of our gurl Jessie J, “nobody’s perfect.”
